Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career with an Muay Thai boxer. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO in round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her return with a win against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa with a unanimous win. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 after leaving the promotion. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized her fighting abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina took an UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts which included a win against Ariane Lipski while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee.
